Commitment to Accessibility

This website  is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including persons with disabilities. We continuously strive to improve the user experience for everyone and to implement applicable accessibility standards.

ThetisTreasures endeavors to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Compliance with these standards helps ensure the site is accessible to individuals with a range of impairments (visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, etc.).

Accessibility Pillars and Technical Specifications

Our accessibility commitment focuses on the following key areas:

  • Images & Multimedia
    All images (product photos, banners, graphics) include alternative text (alt text) that is descriptive and informative. Purpose: to ensure screen readers adequately describe the coffee type, packaging or product, allowing users with visual impairments to understand the merchandise.

  • Color & Contrast
    Sufficient color contrast is applied between text and background—at least 4.5:1 for normal text. Purpose: to ensure readability for users with low vision or color-vision deficiencies, with particular attention to our coffee brand colors.

  • Navigation
    All interactive features (menus, buttons, forms, product carousels) are fully operable via keyboard navigation (Tab key). Purpose: to accommodate users who do not use a mouse or other pointing devices.

  • Content Structure
    A correct heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3, etc.) is used to structure pages. Purpose: to enable screen reader users to navigate quickly and understand the organization of content.

  • Forms & Interaction
    All form fields (checkout, login, search) have visible, properly associated labels. Clear, visible error messages are provided that identify precisely where the problem occurred.

  • Links & Buttons
    Links and buttons are descriptive and understandable out of context (for example, using “Add coffee to cart” instead of “Click here”).

  • Responsive Design
    The site supports zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality (WCAG 1.4.4).

 

Standards and Future Improvements

We are committed to monitoring updates to the WCAG guidelines and to implementing further improvements, including:

  • Compatibility: Ensuring compatibility with popular screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).

  • Testing: Conducting regular accessibility reviews using automated tools and usability testing with real users.
